Anti-Oxidation Evaluation
If you are looking for a reliable partner to help you evaluate the potential of your dietary supplements in anti-oxidation? Creative Biogene Zebrafish Platform is the best choice for you. Our platform offers a comprehensive range of services that are specifically designed to help our clients around the world discover the relationship between their products and anti-oxidation. Our team of highly skilled professionals is dedicated to providing accurate, reliable, and timely results to our clients, ensuring that they have the information they need to make informed decisions about their products.
Oxidative stress has been proposed as a key contributor to lifestyle- and age-related diseases. Because free radicals play an important role in various processes such as immune responses and cellular signaling, the body possesses an arsenal of different enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidant defense mechanisms. It has been reported that increasing antioxidant levels through dietary supplements may delay or ameliorate outcomes of lifestyle- and age-related diseases that have been linked to oxidative stress. Hence, anti-oxidation has been of interest to the dietary supplement industry.
Our Zebrafish-based Scientific Evaluation of Anti-Oxidation
Menadione is a chemical compound that acts as an oxidant. When it enters the body, it interacts with the intracellular reductase system. This interaction produces unstable semiquinones that enter the redox cycle and generate reactive oxygen species (ROS).
CellROX green dye emits a strong fluorescence signal in the oxidized state, indicating the presence of ROS. Its signal is mainly located in the nucleus and mitochondria. In zebrafish, it shows high fluorescence in the yolk sac when oxidized.
At Creative Biogene, we have divided the zebrafish into three distinct groups for our experiments.
At Creative Biogene, we divide the zebrafish into three groups. We use menadione to induce oxidative stress in zebrafish. After adding your dietary supplements, zebrafish is stained with CellROX green dye. After staining, we select zebrafish randomly from each group and place under a fluorescence microscope for imaging. Details are as follows.
