Anti-Acne Efficacy Evaluation

If you are looking for a reliable and efficient way to conduct anti-acne efficacy evaluation of your cosmetic products, Creative Biogene Zebrafish Platform offers an excellent solution. With our anti-acne efficacy evaluation, we can help you assess the effectiveness of your products and provide valuable insights that can be used to improve your products' development.

Globally, acne is a widespread and chronic inflammatory condition affecting the pilosebaceous follicles. It is estimated to affect 9.4% of the global population, making it the eighth most prevalent skin disease. Acne is particularly prevalent among teenagers, with over 85% experiencing the condition. Genetics, environmental variables, nutrition, hormonal state, stress, smoking, and comedogenic medicines such as androgens, halogens, corticosteroids, and bacteria can all contribute to the development, worsening, or exacerbation of acne. Due to the impact of acne on individuals and its associated social and psychological effects, the development of anti-acne cosmetics has become increasingly important.

Our Zebrafish-based Anti-Acne Efficacy Evaluation

Propionibacterium acnes is a type of bacteria that is closely associated with the development of acne. Studies have shown that it plays a specific role in promoting the release of inflammatory mediators.

At Creative Biogene, we induce inflammatory response by injecting Propionibacterium acnes into transgenic neutrophil green fluorescent strain of zebrafish (MPX). After incubating your cosmetics and zebrafish for a period of time, zebrafish is placed under a fluorescence microscope and photographed to count the number of neutrophils in the yolk sac.
