The zebrafish pancreas has a structure, function, and regulation of glucose metabolism that is highly consistent with those of mammals. This makes it a valuable tool for studying different types of diabetes and screening dietary supplements or drugs. Zebrafish exhibits sustained hyperglycemia under sugar load conditions and can be induced to develop hyperglycemia resembling human type 2 diabetes using a high-sugar and high-fat diet.

Our Zebrafish-based Scientific Evaluation of Blood Glucose Management

At Creative Biogene, we divide the zebrafish into three groups, including: a vehicle control group, a model group, and a dietary supplement group. Then, we use high sugar and high fat diet for modeling purpose.
